We are all set to indulge all your horticultural senses in September when we hold our Late Summer Fair in the beautiful surroundings of the Gardens.

The weekend-long event, which takes place on 5 & 6 September 2026, will also have stalls selling locally produced food and drink and hot food on-the-go. Entertainment throughout the weekend will be provided by a variety of music artists from around west Wales.

Inside the mansion there will be Orchids filling the main rooms thanks to the Orchid Study Group’s Orchid Festival and outside the mansion there will be plants and produce stalls.

The Welsh Orchid Festival, organised by the Orchid Study Group, will completely take over the mansion. Marvel at the wonderful orchids on display and for sale from specialist orchid nurseries who will offer advice. There will also be relaxed, informative and fun orchid talks with orchid enthusiasts happy to share their experiences in growing these fabulous plants.

Helen Scutt, Aberglasney Gardens’ Director, said, “We hope visitors to Aberglasney will enjoy this extra special experience in September. The mansion will be full of Orchids, the gardens will be full of plants, the North Lawn will be full of music as well as delicious choices of food and drink. This really is an event to tease all your senses.”

The Fair will be open each day from 10am until 5pm. Entrance to the event will be £10 per adult with no separate entrance fee to the Gardens. Aberglasney members and children up to the age of 17 are admitted to the event free of charge. There will be plenty of parking at the Gardens with additional parking available in adjoining fields.

Amongst those confirmed to appear on the music main stage on the North Lawn on Saturday will be the Carmarthen Ukuleles and the Tom Collin Band duo. On the Sunday there will be the Saxy Brass and the Flyrites. There will also be a belly dancing performance by the Lotus Sisters on the Sunday and Carmarthen Spinners will be demonstrating the craft of spinning on the Sunday in the Cloister Garden.
